Description
polypropylene abdominal reinforcement hernia surgical mesh
The surgical mesh is constructed of knitted polypropylene monofilament. The knit construction allows the mesh to be stretched in both directions, to accommodate and reinforce tissue defects. Use of the surgical mesh allows a prompt fibroblastic response through the interstices of the mesh, forming a strong fibrous wall. The prosthesis is nonabsorbable and permanent exist in vivo after implantation.
The mesh is sterile and single-use prosthesis.

Indications: The mesh is indicated to reinforce soft tissue where weakness exists, I.e., repair of inguinal hernias.
Instruction for use:
1. Inspect and open the primary package in sterile area before mesh implantation.
2. The mesh is implanted according to currently accepted surgical mesh procedures either open or laparoscopically, such as the recommendations of "international guidelines for groin hernia management" by the herniaSurge Group. 3. Adequate preparation and mesh size must be considered to prevent the risk of insufficient covering of the abdominal fascial delect.
4. The mesh should be placed tension-free and without creases or folds. To avoid dislodging, crinkling or curling of the edges, the mesh should be fixed in place with a sufficient number of sutures or staples in serted along the borders of the mesh. It is recommended that non- absorbable , monofilament sutures should be placed at least 0.5cm from the edge of the mesh with 1-2cm spacing between fixation points. Alternatively, suitable staples may also be used using the same placement requirements described for the sutures. If staples are used, it must be indicated for use in hernia repair.
5. Careful attention is required is fixating the mesh in the presence of nerves and vessels.
