Silver lon Dressing
Antimicrobials, in particular silver, are incorporated into wound dressings, including alginates, for use in the treatment of “at risk” or infected chronic wounds. Silver is used to both reduce the dressing and wound microbial bioburden.
Silver ion dressing is an antibacterial dressing which is made of compound
high molecular hygroscopic fiber and silver compound.
Alginate dressing has been tested in vitro and found to be effective against bacteria such as: Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Streptococcus pyogenes, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae.

microorganisms and it does not produce resistance.
2. Continuous sterilization,
sterilization effect of 5-7 days.
3. The releose of silver ion is related to exudate of wound.The more exudate.the
more releose of silver ion.

Coutions
1. Wash the wound with normal saline before use and dry the surrounding skin.
2. When using silver ions dressing should not be immersed in normal saline beforehand.
3. Secondary dressings,such as foam dressings and calcium alginate dressings,should
be used in combination.
4. According to the clinical ues,it is recommended to change the dressings in 2-4 days.
