Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) dressings are designed to absorb and retain moderate-to-heavy amounts of exudate in wounds with excessive drainage while maintaining a moist wound bed.
Super absorbent pad
Specialty absorptive or superabsorbent dressings are multilayer wound covers that provide either a semi-adherent quality or a non-adherent layer, combined with highly absorptive layers of fibers, such as cellulose, cotton or rayon. Designed to minimize adherence to the wound and manage exudate.
This version is without the additional Optisil silicone layer so comprises of the following makeup:

Features of super absorbent dressing
With SAP polymer, it absorbs wound exudate through the PP wound contact layer, retains the exudate within the core and minimizes the risk for maceration. With PP layer, the dressing contact skin gently and wound application perfectly. The fluid-repellent nonwoven backing acts as a barrier and prevents exudate strike-through.
This multi-layered construction is designed to facilitate fluid management to provide promotion of faster wound healing. The super absorbent pad builds up a moisture locking system, locking away excess exudate

Advantage
Ideal for the management of moderately to heavily exuding wounds including leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and dehisced surgical wounds (condition where the edges of the wound no longer meet). As the non-adherent of super absorbent wound dressing isn't stick to skin, assistant medical bandage or medical tapes are needed. The related medical tapes or bandages are also provided by us.
