Povidone Iodine(PVP-I) Gauze Dressing

Povidone-iodine (PVP-I), also known as iodopovidone, is an antiseptic used for skin disinfection before and after surgery. Povidone Iodine Gauze Dressing (PVP-I) is a disposable sterile product made from paraffin wax containing povidone iodine and evenly attached to the mesh gauze.

Product Feature:

• Povidone iodine has the broadest spectrum of antimicrobial activity of the available antiseptics, and has a rapid and persistent microbicidal effect. It is active against Gram-positive and negative bacteria, bacterial spores, fungi, protozoa and several viruses.
• It is a rather thin dressing that comes sandwiched between backing papers. It will usually require some incisions made to allow it to flex for parts of the body such as a finger or toe.
• The dressing itself does not have adherent properties apart from the ability to absorb some moisture or blood, and is typically held in place using gauze and then bandage material.
• It can prevent the wound from being infected, protect wound and keep outside bacterials surrounding the wound.
• It has no stimulus and toxicity to skin, and it is durable and easily used.
• Non adherent to wound, no pain when change dressing, no secondary damage to the wound.
• The povidone polymer provides a sustained release of iodine.
