Silicone contact layer is a thin, flexible and non-adherent wound contact layer consisting of a polyester mesh coated in soft silicone that is indicated for use with a secondary absorbent dressing on a wide range of wound types.
Silicone contact layer
Silicone contact layer wound dressing has both layers covered with Silicone Soft Technology, the silicone at the top will help to adhere to any secondary dressing that you want to use. This will prevent the dressing move around, especially in a problematic area such as joint or any active part of the body. This way, it will help to minimise the risk of blistering at the periwound area.
Soft Silicone Technology at the bottom will help to reduce the dressing risk to dry and adhere to the periwound and the wound itself. This will give the protection needed for your wound from any unnecessary trauma nor pain during the dressing change. Given the benefits of protection and conformability, it becomes an excellent option for treating any fragile wound that requires extra protection or acting as a protective barrier between your wound and your choice of secondary dressing.
